Cooling and heating for residential, commercial and industrial purposes account for 50% of the total energy consumption of a nation. Considering the rate of urbanization and industrialization, worldwide power consumption for comfort cooling alone is estimated to increase 33-fold by 2100.
CONTROLLING INDUSTRIAL CARBON EMISSIONS
Since conventional cooling and heating solutions heavily rely on fossil fuels, the pressure adds only onto the existing crisis of CO2 emissions. Absorption technology is a smart solution to eliminate the catastrophic consequences pertaining to Cooling and Heating. Thermax Vapour Absorption Machines (VAM) use water as the refrigerant for cooling and heating solutions which is an ecofriendly alternative to the conventional refrigerants. Water has zero Ozone Depleting Potential (ODP) and Global Warming Potential (GWP) when used as refrigerant in cooling and heating operations. Since the machines are driven by recovered heat from the industrial processes, dependency on electric grid is greatly reduced, consequently reducing huge amount of carbon emissions.
